What you'll do

Dungeons and Dragons game at a long table in a fantastic garden. You choose a pre-made character to role- play as a wizard, a warrior or a thief. For the next couple of hours, I story-tell you through a medieval fantasy adventure. Your choices of action and rolls of dice determine the outcome of the story and survival of the characters. It's more than just a game, it's a rush of imagination and emotion as we seek treasures and battle with mighty beasts!
My style as Game Master is great for first-timers and veterans, I prefer "Theatre of the Mind" - exciting scenarios over rules and technical details. This non-competitive game from the 1980's has recently gained popularity by many celebrities, the Stranger Things tv series and is reflective of the Lord of The Rings trilogy and Game of Thrones.
This D&D Experience is at Il Giardino Gardens, a unique outdoor public garden with sculptures and fountains dedicated to Italian Opera. The park has high standards washrooms too!
I'M MOBILE- for private bookings I can drive to your airbnb, home, office, play in a park/ beach setting or I can recommend a local tavern.
CLICK PRIVATE BOOKINGS if you don't want strangers to join. People regularly book for birthdays, family activity, date night, staff party and ESL class/ group.
PLAY ONLINE (using zoom/ Skype etc.), message me to arrange an online adventure for your group.

I bring years of professional storytelling (fairy tales, mythology) to this experience. My ability to lead workshops with people from all walks of life and ages will help form an unforgettable bond with your team. Playing "Role Playing Games" since I was a teen, contributes greatly to my creativity, improvisational skills, one-man stage shows and writing career. With me as the Game Master, your adventure in this imaginary land will be heroic; triumphant and often hilarious! My style is quite animated and more about having fun with action-packed gameplay instead of boring technical details. I also do the Secret Agent Experience: https://www.airbnb.ca/experiences/1502574

Where you'll be

A very cool, strange, magical park called Hastings Park in the Il Giardino section with sculptures dedicated to famous Italian Operas. This is the second largest park in Vancouver and there's lots of areas to explore. We will be seated at a very long table with with wood benches.
PRIVATE BOOKINGS -friends, family, office party or ESL group: I'm mobile- I can drive to your home, office, play in a park setting or I can recommend a local tavern.

You *must* try this at least once in your life, Eric is super nice and a really great story teller that will introduce you to the D&D universe. I had no experience at all and really had a great time!

Killer night, full of energy and great storytelling. Was my first time doing D&D, but my wife is a seasoned pro - No problem at all - She took the Basilisk's head off in one swing, while I drank all the booze.

If you've ever wanted to give this sort of thing a try, especially if you're traveling solo and want a new group of pals to hang out with for the evening, I recommend you sign up for this experience! I love a good nerd bar, and I so appreciated that Eric arrived early to secure us a table. He brought ample characters for us to choose from, and even customized recommendations for us based on what sort of character we wanted to play. I definitely felt a little overwhelmed by everything at first (like my inventory, special abilities, etc.), as I had never played D&D before, but Eric made it accessible and not too difficult for first-timers. The game play itself was a lot of fun, and I loved the visuals he brought as well!

Eric took us on from the dark tavern on Broadway to a faraway world of strange creatures and enchanting quests. There were spells, and strategy and survival. And there was also a whiff of darkness. Highly recommended.

This experience was a Christmas gift from a close friend to our family. We didn’t quite know what to expect but when we finished the experience we knew it would be something we would gladly repeat again as a family ! How refreshing to play a game that did not involve any high tech or app! It was pure imagination and Eric really can tell a vivid story ! He is lovely and personable !

This was a gift for friends, who tell me that they loved it. Just wish could have been there to enjoy it also with them.
