What you'll do
We’ll try four different mezcales, from a selection of over 60 different artisanal and ancestral, small-batch, mezcal producers from all around Mexico. We’ll learn more about the agave plant itself, as well as the process of the spirit. Handmade by small producers and socially responsible brands, the spirits are primarily sourced from manufacturers in more rural areas. Most of these mezcales are unavailable anywhere else, and I travel many hours of unpaved roads and mountain trails to bring the best of each region. You’ll find there’s much more to the mezcal culture than just "smoky" flavours.
Appetizers available. Provided to match and enhance the flavours of the mezcales, but having a decent meal beforehand is…
Mezcal and fresh water Guests are not required to sample the same mezcales and are free to explore to their palate's content.
I’m a certified expert in mezcal and have been working directly with producers and socially-responsible brands for many years. Having guided tastings in Mexico, the US, the UK and Europe, it'll be my pleasure to personally guide you through the flavours and aromas of mezcal, and share the rich tradition of this Mexican culture. I have advanced studies in distilling but I'm most proud of the knowledge that has been handed to me by the producers themselves, their stories and their family history. It will be an honour to share this with you over a few mezcales.

Where you'll be
We’ll enjoy the mezcales in Terraza Agavache, a private terrace with an amazing view of the mountains and southern Mexico City skyline. Given we’ll be in a private building, only accessible with reservations, we won’t have to worry about being interrupted or distracted by other visitors.
