What you'll do

Prepare to be inspired! Vancouver is filled with scenic locations. I'll describe some of the options below so you can decide which you prefer.

Granville Island is one of my favourite scenic spots in the city for reflections, bridges, city views, a lively and colourful market (open until 7pm), restaurants and vibrant, thriving art scene.

Gastown is Vancouver's Historic Heart. Cobblestone streets, beautiful streetlamps, our famous steam clock, and plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained for hours.

Stanley Park, the Jewel of Vancouver. If you're looking for nature, this is the location for you. Venture into the forest, visit Totem Poles, and capture epic City Views from the seawall.

Other locations are also available, but these are the top three if you're new to Vancouver.

Any skill level is fine, even smartphones. Learn something and/or get another perspective on photography.

In every location, we'll cater the lesson to your level. Topics include: exposure, white balance, motion, depth of field, composition, camera instruction, and at night time, long exposures. Bonus, we will also give you an info sheet to take with you, so you don't have to remember all the things :)

Join us for a photo adventure in Vancouver!

Where you'll be

The exact places will vary depending on which location you select, but for Granville island Blue Hour...

I'm passionate about city reflections in False Creek, especially after dark. The twinkling lights and misty water never fail to delight! We spend time at the water, and then go inland to capture the Granville Island sign, light trails, train tracks and special effects.

What a great time night shooting at Granville Island with Ricardo. Susan and I were very impressed with his knowledge of photography and the area. He was very easy to talk to and explained things very well. We had a total of three in our group and each had varying degrees of knowledge of photography. He was talk to each of us in terms we could understand. We would definitely book with him again.

Vancouver is an exciting city, full of places to visit and discover. With the help of Suzanne and Ekaterina, I was able to visit these small sites (probably hidden for the common visitor), which allow me taking extraordinary photographs of Vancouver, I recommend this experience for amateur photographers and the most advanced. A very friendly and fun experience.

First and foremost, Suzanna is an explanatory, kind and enthusiastic instructor. She is well versed in timely communication, while also super accommodating and knowledgeable; all things you will experience during her PhotoWalk. Suzanna ensure to keep you on your toes; never a dull moment. During the experience, I felt like I was actively gaining significantly helpful insight into the world of photography. By the end of the evening, my partner and I not only had amazing photos to bring home and share, but we also got a chance to see some of the most scene views Vancouver's late evening hours, had to offer. Strongly recommend this experience!
