What you'll do
I will guide you on an immersive, meditative, and therapeutic forest walk based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku. We will slow down and connect with our senses to the healing, stress-reducing beauty of a little-known hidden corner of Minneapolis' green forested spaces. We will slip away from our phones and revive our relationship with the forest and ourselves via unique invitations. We will share our stories and then share a tea ceremony at which we will drink tea brewed from foraged plants. We will re-enter the tame world, renewed with the gift of nature that can be enjoyed time and again.
I'm a ANFT-Certified Forest Therapy Guide, and an award-winning landscape architect with nearly 20 years of experience. I will bring the unique perspective of a designer's eye and philosophy to each walk. I am the recipient of fellowships that have connected me with forests and cultures in the U.K. and Japan. I teach and speak on the healing power of nature. I'm funny, personable, welcoming, and kind.
