What you'll do
Welcome to our African Food and Storytelling Tour! Join Khofhi on an educational feasting experience and learn more about the inspiring and personal real life stories of some of the best African food entrepreneurs Cape Town has to offer. You'll learn about different African food cultures and their origins and get to taste authentic African food, while meeting pan-African food entrepreneurs, who play a special role in their particular community. Please come with an open mind. We will also stop at a secret African fabric store, where all our visitors receive special prices. PS: People who like to eat with their hands will enjoy this experience ;) Dennis Molewa will only personally join the tour in case he is in South Africa.
This tour has been created by Food Writer Dennis Molewa, who has published articles on all the real life stories about all the Pan-African entrepreneurs you will visit for a tasting. Khofhi takes their guests to Cape Town's hidden and authentic African kitchens and restaurants. While sharing and tasting traditional African food and beverages at 4 different stops, you will hear real life stories of African immigrants and refugees in South Africa. This Food Tour offers an unique opportunity to see Cape Town from a different perspective and seeks to demonstrate the invaluable role of food in communities. While exploring Cape Town's different African food cultures, you get to experience first hand what it means to run a traditional kitchen in a rapidly gentrifying city that is often perceived as glamorous.
