  1. 3 days

What you'll do

On your first day you will enter the Masai Mara game reserve, which is 1510 km2 and connected to the Serengeti National Reserve.

As the Masai Mara National Reserve belongs to the top places of viewing wildlife in the world, the game reserve is the absolute highlight of Kenya and offers some unique sightings such as the wildebeest migration.
On this safari you will get the chance to see the big 5 such as the rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion and the leopard. What makes this expereince so unique is that it will be guided by a true Maasai warrior who can spot the animals from 3 to 4 km without binoculars. He will take you of the beaten path right into the heart of the bush!

At night, you will get to hear stories that are sometimes over a 100 years old and have been passed on by generation to generation at the bonfire, accompanied by a nice drink and some traditional Kenyan food. The Maasai will sing and dance for you, an experience never to forget!

Note that: The safari can be done throughout the year but the best time to see the wildebeest migration will be July, August, September to October.

Other things to note
Transport from Nairobi is not included but can be arranged by Moran trails adventures. Contact: +254714078970 or osekimaasaimaracamp@gmail.com for more info. The transport from Nairobi is not included. The fees for the 4x4 can be shared by a group.

Day 2
On your second day you will spent another full day in the Masai Mara Game Reserve to spot the big 5 under the guidance of an experienced Maasai Warrior and tracker. We will take you to the Mara river, close to the Serengeti at the other side of the park in order to get the best wildlife sightings!

Yes, you will have to get up early again but not to worry! The mornings are the best time to see animal activity. We cannot predict for you what you are going to see, but you are sure going to see something! Even the smaller animals are not forgotten on this trip. We love to show you the birds, the insects, the antelopes , and the wild flowers. Nature offers us so much, so why not share it?

Also, you will be absolutely thrilled to see the migration this time live, without having to fight about who ''owns'' the remote control at home whilst watching some TV. This makes it so much easier right?! Since no one can zap over to another canal anymore from now on!

Make sure that you take a good camera along and a smile, we ensure you that you won't miss anything on your trip!

Note that: you can always contact us for a special price if you with more then 2 people
Other things to note
Note that: the amount for the 4x4 hire can be shared with multiple guests that have made the same booking. Contact us for more information! The transport from Nairobi is not included.

Day 3
Always wanted to learn which plant you need to treat a wound? or how to find water in a dry area while you see no water around?
We will take you in the heart of the bush to teach you all these thing!

On top of that we will show you how to track wild animals yourself under the guidance of a skilled Maasai warrior. This walk will be all about the little things in nature such as the birds, the butterflies, trees and wildflowers, focused on how to become a true Warrior yourself!

This experience gives you the opportunity to enjoy some quality time with the Maasai Warriors who are thrilled to have you over to show you everything about their culture and their natural environment.

Note that: This experience is excellent for families, single travellers or groups of friends.

My name is Dennis Shinka Parmuat, I have been a guide in the Masai Mara or over 7 years. I am a true Maasai of nature and born and raised in the Mara. Since the age of 10 I was trained as a Maasai warrior. During this time I learned more about nature and how to track wild animals and survive in the bush.

Together with Anne, my co-host and partner and a passionate photographer and Africanist, we are keen on showing our future visitors our village, the Maasai game reserve and way of life in the Maasai Mara.

Booking an experience via us, will ensure you of the perfect balance between nature & culture as the Maasai live closely together with nature & it is part of their everyday life.

Note that: We can make any experience suit your preffered travel date, contact us more for information if required.
