Back in 2012, I went to an intimate concert where I sat across the stage and had one of the best nights of my life. The band wasn't too popular at the time, and the venue wasn't full, but the few people that were there were passionate about the music being played. I found the strong connection between the fans and the artists exhilarating. Since then I've been hosting intimate concerts in various spaces around the city, including an event with the honorable guest speaker Barack Obama. I am also the founder of Waveland, a Canadian music organization committed to celebrating and empowering Canadian musicians.

Since the pandemic, there have been some changes made to our concert. For one thing, the audience size is now up to 10 people. We have also implement social distancing, masks, and offer plenty of hand sanitizer!

Supporting your local Toronto artists are so important because they have a true passion for making their own communities a better place to live through their artwork. Both Del and Chris are amazing artists who never disappoint when they are on set- they literally know how to capture an audience and the amount of AY’s, YESSS’s, WOW’s I hear throughout the night really do make it known of what an amazing job they do. Seeing the unfortunate times we live in right now due to Covid, this really does add some sunshine to the gloomy areas we all have to deal with. These R&B sounds intimate concerts are the icing on the cake if you’re missing real outdoor concerts...Please attend one and see for yourself.

A really great night showcasing some beautiful R&B in a great part of Toronto. Del understood the right way to curate a night like this, from the venue, to the DJ, to the musicians themselves, and I left very musically satisfied. Thanks!
