What you'll do

I'll take you on the only nature and acoustic music immersion experience currently in Austin. We'll continue to a trailhead at a nearby greenbelt or nature spot. The experience will include a private guided walk to a natural acoustic concert spot on a green space in Austin.

You'll learn a few fun and interesting facts about history, nature, and scenery.

Acoustic music interludes along the route will be provided by Will Taylor like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkkC-f-vSZw&feature=youtu.be

There will be 30-minute or longer concert at the end—usually below a cliff, in a large field under the sky, or natural amphitheater-like feature.

I grew up here and I know secret wild spots and stories about Austin that most don't. I've been a professional violinist and Austin music icon for over 20 years, jamming with folks such as Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam, Gary Clark Jr., Shawn Colvin, Shiny Ribs, Guy Forsyth, the Turtle Island String Quartet at Town Hall in New York City and so many more. I'm a lover of the outdoors and the magic of bringing people into nature for life-changing moments of connection and musical bliss. I have been a concert presenter for over 20 years and in 2006 produced a concert of the Beatles White Album that was broadcast on radio and drew over 1600 folks for two shows. You can learn more about me at StringsAttached.org, StringsintheWoods.com and about my love of community outreach through StringsAttachedCares.org

This experience blended two of my favorite activities, hiking and listening to live music. It's a great idea, and a really nice way to spend an afternoon.

What a peaceful walk. It's not often that you get to take a leisurely stroll through the woods while listening to the violin. There were several stops to learn about the history of the location and the local wildlife and plants. A great way to take a breather from the busy and wonderful city of Austin. We will absolutely recommend this short excursion to anyone considering visiting.

This is a gem to find! If your looking for inner peace, nostalgia of being around live music...this the activity to do!  Your guide, Will, fidleys you on a hike and share his knowledge of historical facts, knowledge on nature, share meditative practices. The best is yet to come! Having a mini concert in the trail was greatly enjoyable. Karen's original songs and Wills playing....beautiful! I won't say more but my bestie and I really enjoyed this time to relax and get away from chaos of everyday life. Thank y'all for the great time!

A dream gleam of a team bringing together people to enjoy the classic acoustics. Walked through nature as he and Karen played their instruments and boy are they just a delight to be near to. A short meditation under wildly grown trees was just a glimpse of my experience. Please go! Well worth your time. A story to share with others and a way to mingle with new people.
