What you'll do

It doesn't matter if you are a solo traveller or a bigger group, you will have a private group, without any extra charge.

We are very passionate of bread specially Mexican one. Together, we will bake one of the Mexico´s favorite pieces of bread, depending on the season we may do: Day of the Death bread, Conchas, Orejas, or something really delicious and authentic, we will go through all the baking process from scratch, we will be based in one of my coffee shops located in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods of Mexico City, but don´t worry, you do not need a professional kitchen at home to make this recipe.

Bonus: While we wait for the bread to bake, we will prepare ourselves a chocolate from scratch, with Horacio, The Chocolate Master.
Other things to note

Maritza was awesome. She is so passionate about being both a chef and a professor. Her passion pours forth in her cooking class--we made a tasty Rosca de Reyes and made chocolate, recipes we certainly will use for the holidays, while Maritza shared the rich history underlying el pan and el chocolate. We had a blast! Muchas gracias!!!¡¡¡!!!

Bread making with Marisa was a great way to start my trip. We made pan de muerto and fresh hot chocolate! Marisa is a great teacher and her love of baking was passed on to me! I would definitely recommend this experience

I love Pan de Muerto (PM). Since visiting CDMX i think i've tried at least one from 10 places or more. Quick tip, of the top three places, i think Rosetta panaderia is the best. HOWEVER, yours can be so much more satisfying and tastier with this class. Mariza was a lot of fun to work with. It really shows how much she loves to teach others and how much she loves to share the technique and process of PM. Being a prior kindergarten teacher she also very kind and patient with me as i certainly made a sloppy mess, and asked for directions in spanish and english for my own practice. She's a very sweet woman and the class was a joy. I can't wait to take this new knowledge home to the US where we don't typically have PM and share it with my loved ones. I strongly recommend this course, especially if you love Dia de Muertos, Mexican culture, sweet breads, cooking, good company, exploring a cool location (this was held in a great coffee shop within a community of awesome shops/boutiques), and well just if you have the time and like food!
