Enjoy a magical coastline hike starting from the charming fishermen town of Boca de Tomatlan to the isolated town of Las Animas, crossing several hidden beaches such as Colomitos, Madagascar, La Troza, Maraikas and El Caballo, all of them gorgeous beaches that few people know. Along the way, we will cross 5 km of tropical jungle where we might watch a variety of birds, crabs and iguanas. If we are really lucky, we might watch a stingray, a sea turtle or a whale at the sea. Swim and enjoy Colomitos and amaze yourself with a huge variety of natural landscapes while we take you some pics with our Rebel T6 Camera. Plus we can bring some Snorkeling gear (available upon request only) Enjoy a delicious breakfast from Elforoteo (My brothers' Cafe) and a Mexican Cinnamon Coffee, a cocktail or a beer at one of Las Animas' sea restaurants. You might enjoy sea food there too (optional) or have another swim. If you're not afraid of iguanas, you can dare to take a picture with one of the Iguanas hanging out at Las Animas. We will return back in a public aquatic transport back to Boca de Tomatlan.
Other things to note
The experience includes a 5km walk under the heat and is not suitable for people with heart or joint problems or pregnant women.

Through this time, we have committed to give a plus to our guests by taking them to explore the wonders of our region. One of the trips that we enjoy the most is this hike to Colomitos and Las Animas. We have knowledge in the area, we are sensitive to different needs, we speak several languages and we like to surprise our hosts with details they don't expect. Where you'll be

We will take the highway south of Vallarta. During the trip we will appretiate different beaches. We will arrive to Boca de Tomatlán, a charming fishers town at Horcones River. We will cross the mountain covered by beautiful palms and Ficus. After 1 km, we will arrive to Colomitos beach, one of the smallest beaches of México, unreachable by car. We will have a break and then continue the hike to Las Animas.

Great 5K hike along beautiful beaches. The path wasn't busy which allowed our small group of 4 to go at a good pace up and down numerous steps. The views along the way to las animas were gorgeous. The vegetarian sandwich I requested was a delicious toasted panini with chunks of sautéed veggies(broccoli, mushrooms, onions,) with cheese. A wonderful day.

We only had a short time in Puerto Vallarta, and Israel’s trip was the best experience to enjoy in a short time. This trip had everything - great views of the lush trees, glittery sand, warm waters, and awesome company! The hike was a workout, but it was such a privilege to follow Israel up the hills and through the jungle as we would never have found such a magical location on our own. He was super thoughtful, packing us a tasty and healthy sandwich (w/ toasted bread), as well as treating us to a drink at the end of the hike. He gave us time to swim at the beach and hang out with the locals and each other. Also, we loved that Israel was super environmentally conscious, picking up trash along the trail. He truly cares about the land and is proactive with preserving its beauty. The trip ended with an awesome boat ride where we got to experience our hike from a different perspective, more great views! Thank you so much Israel! We hope more people get to have the honor of your company. Fue un placer :)

Do this hike! It’s amazing. About 3 and a half miles on the coast line and there’s hardly anyone else. No other cars access this area only boats. Israel is a great host and certainly make our trip to PV more memorable

The epic hike was the best day of my trip! Having the opportunity to visit remote beaches, and hike to them by foot was fun and adventurous. Parts of the journey were a bit challenging (for a beginner), and I was happy to have Israel as a guide.
