Yellow curry noodle? The spicier the better! Cake by master Pi is nice and fresh. Seasonal fruits are juicy and sweet. And the lunch/supper in the family house is my favorite - fabulous Tum Yum Soup and thai omelet. Believe me, you can’t find this in any guide book! (Foods may be different everyday)

It’s Wat here! 25y/o, a native Thai guy. My name ‘Wat’ means temple in Thai. When I was a child, I was trained to be a fighter of Thai boxing. I choose to be a Monk when I was 13. Day and night under the peace of temple, I find what I truly love.

With the same concept - Turning Tourists to Travelers, Ata and I founded this bike tour club @Haveagoodthai. In the past years, we have been guiding over 3,000 travelers to the hidden Bangkok.

I went on the bike tour with Wat and it was really incredible. Wat is so personable and very knowledgeable about the old side of Bangkok. I just moved here and was so excited to see a part of the city where expats wouldn't typically end up. We stopped at a number of places and were able to try delicious authentic snacks along the way. I really enjoyed my time!

I’ve lived in Thailand on and off for 20 years and this was the first time I truly explored the real Bangkok. Wat is a superb guide with a great deal of knowledge who will take you through a warren of hidden backstreets that is mesmerizing. He’s very well known in the community so you are greeted by everyone you cycle past and he knows all the best places to stop and snack. He took us to temples we’d never been before and it really is a genuine tour off the tourist track. Highly recommended for everyone - this is not just for tourists!

When in Bangkok, you’d want to spare a day going for a bike tour with Wat (our biking guide) if you’re seeking for a little adventure (imagine cycling across busy main street), a little exercise, and a whole lot of exploring Bangkok’s hidden spots. Perfect alternative to crowded touristy streets like Khao San Road, and one not to be missed because unless you have relative or someone close living in Bangkok to take you around – you’d never get to explore these places on your own. When else can you have meals at a home-restaurant (literally someone’s home turned into restaurant – and yes, they live in the same house) or explore home-owned traditional pastry factory. BONUS: these hidden places are super unique as they reflect real Bangkok’s local identity. These places are also social-media worthy, so feel free to snap away. The best part about this tour though, is that it’s not just cycling-round-the-park tour. Our guide, Wat knows his facts and history well. He’ll teach you lessons about the way of life (in Buddhist perspective), and he’ll also offer you information about all places you’ll go. Truly a gem!

What an excellent experience! You truly do get to see a side of Bangkok that would otherwise be totally missed, but is absolutely worth seeing. I don’t have enough positive things to say. Wat is a fantastic and incredibly friendly host with whom it’s so easy to connect, and his local perspective is so valuable. It really felt like we were biking around town with an old friend, and it seemed like everyone we passed on the streets knew him. The food was great, and it was just indescribably cool to ride around these back alleys and pop in at different sites. Can’t recommend this enough.

Wat is such a sweetheart! Our tour group was small and super personalized. Wat did a great job making sure we all felt safe and comfortable. He was funny, knowledgeable, and kind. I was able to reschedule the tour when I couldn’t make it for the original day I planned to go which was very nice and convenient. Really enjoyed the tour! You’ll leave with a full stomach for sure. Great experience!!

This tour was absolutely exceptional. Nothing any of us could or would do on our own. We saw the REAL bangkok, not where tourists often visit. Not only that, Wat knew all about the culture and what to do/not to do in certain situations. He was very kind, personable, knowledgeable and fun! Highly highly recommend this tour!
