"I would never have imagined that I could create such an amazing fondue by my own hand! René is an excellent teacher and consummate host." (John, Jan. 19) Since our theme is cheese, we meet at the caves of Kaltbach. There I inform on the one hand about the history of these unique caves and of course also about the origin of the Swiss speciality, the cheese fondue. From there we walk together in about 10 minutes to St. Erhard, where a cosy room invites us to spend the next 2 hours together. There the fresh ingredients are ready and we cook the cheese fondue together. I will tell you my personal secrets for a especially good and digestible cheese fondue. Afterwards we enjoy the fresh fondue as usual directly from the fondue pot. I will be happy to give you further helpful cooking tips and answer your questions. Afterwards I guide the guests on foot or by car back to the meeting point. As a souvenir, each participant receives a special gift that will remind you of this experience again and again. For many years I organize and lead hiking tours, especially in the Swiss Alps. And I have been cooking since my youth. My hobby also led me to do cooking classes in a cooking studio, but I also like cooking for my guests at home. Also I won once the cooking quiz "Al dente" on TV. Where you'll be
The building of the cheese caves of Kaltbach is already worth seeing from the outside. The cave cannot be entered individually. But I will gladly show you pictures and videos of it. Then we walk to our house, where we will prepare the fondue in a cozy environment together. That's where you learn the difference to finished fondue from the pack and a homemade with fresh ingredients. By the way, fondue also tastes good in summer!
