I'm Emika and my sister Fah. We have been guiding for several years and Chiang Mai our hometown with authorized TAT professional tour guide license. We proudly show you around our sustainable communities "On-Tai Village" with our family and neighbourhood. Together, we'll learn how to make our own handicrafts, shop for souvenirs at a local workshop, and enjoy an organic Thai-style lunch straight from organic farm.
Where you'll be
On-Tai farm is 45 minutes out of Chiang Mai city and surrounded by friendly people, beautiful nature, rich historic sites and a temple, handicrafts workshop and sustainable village. This is one of the best examples of sustainable village in Thailand in a non-touristic area. You can explore many hidden gems here just outside the bustle of Chiang Mai.
Incredible experience! You should not miss this opportunity to experience life outside of Chiang Mai where artisans continue to use traditional methods the way their Lanna ancestors did. Fah and Ake were wonderful! Fah’s English is excellent. She is friendly and energetic and passionate about her community. My daughter (age 22) and I loved everything about our day in Ontai. Lunch at the Ontai Organic Farm was beyond compare! So delicious and a beautiful location. Fah gave us a tour of the garden and knew so much about the different plants. She gave us lemongrass to smell and citronella and three different types of basil! And she picked a ripe papaya off a tree and we had that with lunch! Fah also took extra time to show us the beautiful yellow flowers outside the Chiang Mai art museum and took us inside to see the artwork. What an extra treat that was!! We will treasure our bamboo fans and pottery and will never forget our special day in Ontai with Fah, Ake, and their family.

I loved every bit of this adventure. I felt immersed in the culture of the small village and learned so much about life here. The handmade clothing was amazing and showed their expertise. The lunch we had on Ontia farm was better than the restaurants I’ve been in. Great food, awesome scenery.

AMAZING!! We experienced the true life of Thai north people. The whole family are very friendly and lovely, grandma gave us blessings, Fah took stunning pictures, her husband taught us bamboo handicraft, we were stopping by farmers working in rice fields and learning more about this tremendous part of Thai life. And mineral water! SO YAMMY! We regret we had only one bottle with us to fill in. Boot this trip to get closer to the culture of this wonderful country.
