What you'll do

Walks:
As per the standard itinerary, first we do Artemis circular trail and then the linear Myllomeris trail (two-ways).

• Artemis trail (8 km / 5 miles, flat and easy) is the highest elevation trail in Cyprus, and covered with unique flora. When the weather is clear it offers excellent vistas to many parts of the island – usually it takes about 2.5 hours to complete.
• Myllomeris Waterfall Trail (2.5 km in total, 1.2 km each way) is at an elevation of nearly 1,000 m. It offers a radically different, lush environment, (that is mostly shaded and cool in summer). Explorers may decide to take a dip in the waterfall pool (during the hot season).

The combination of the two trails offers a rich experience over a high elevation range in Cyprus.

After we finish with the two walks we stop at a picturesque stone-built traditional village, for some exploration of Cyprus cultural heritage.

Things to note
Participants should be covered by relevant insurance. They should wear shoes/sandals with grip. Everyone is advised to bring along water and sun protection. The walks are easy, but they are not suitable for people with health issue (especially vertigo). At the waterfall there is a small pool. Those who like to can take a dip there, in which case they would be advised to bring relevant clothes, towel etc.

Where you'll be

The experience is recommended year round, except when there is snow cover (usually a couple of months per year). Usually from Artemis trail walkers can see as far as the coast (sometimes even Turkey). During the hot season some walkers may opt to have a dip in the pool at Myllomeris Waterfall.
