What you'll do
We’ll learn about Samburu warrior culture and its ancient traditions on this two-night stay with the tribe. Discover the area's rich bird and wildlife diversity as well as the Samburu's traditional medicinal plants and their uses. Participate in everyday Samburu activities such as herding cattle, building a bush shelter, and singing and dancing. Where you'll be
Set in a private nature reserve spread over 500 square miles north of Nairobi, this camp is owned, operated and benefits the local Samburu community.
I am a wildlife biologist and professor of biology who has lived and worked with the local Samburu tribe for over 18 years. The guides are experienced professionals who have led hundreds of participants on adventures, including children with parents, and who personally know the landscape and habitat, as well as the local cultural traditions. Guest to Guide ratio: 4:1 depending on your group size.

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
Your safety is important. Heed the advice of your guide to ensure your safety. While the road to our base camp is newly tarmacked, safari bush roads can be rugged at times.
