What you'll do

✽ Experience life in a historic estate for silk production and get dressed in a traditional kimono & hakama worn for graduation. Stroll to a thatched-roof mill and Kyoto-style garden. Enjoy local sweets at a neighborhood silk estate. Pure Japanese luxury, and photo opportunities of a lifetime! ✽
❤︎ Japanese love kimono, but only wear them on special occasions. Teachers and students wear hakama (similar in look to the Korean hambok) for graduation day in March. Experience this tradition with us any time of year!
❤︎ Learn about the Jobu Silk Road history while exploring the massive Kiyomizu House. Wonderful photo opportunity in the sanshitsu silk hall.
❤︎ Stroll the neighborhood and take photos at the moving thatched-roof water mill and Kyoto-style garden. In case of rain, we will go directly to the silk house, Yaharajuku Cafe for Japanese sweets, tea and plum juice.
✦Other things to note✦
✓ JR Isobe Station meeting & drop off. 1.5h from Tokyo.

✓ OK rain or shine.
✓ Let me know of any dietary restrictions.
✓ Optional post-tour hot springs ‘onsen’ bath in Kiyomizu House’s neighborhood.
