What you'll do

First let me say that this experience is not for everyone! glassblowing is an extremely physical craft, so if you are afraid of extreme heat or intense physical activity then I suggest you take the other experience we are offering. Theres no other experience on airbnb Venice like this one. Guaranteed!
If you are ready for an intense experience that will live in your memories and heart forever than you are in the right place!

Step 1 - intro to glassblowing

A small 30 minutes lecture and tour about glassblowing in our factory.

Step 2 - practical exercises with no glass

hands on exercises to develop glassblowing’s basic movements and hand eye coordination. (15-45 minutes depending on number of people and on how fast you will learn)

Step 3 - practical exercises with hot glass

hands on exercises with hot glass to develop a good feeling with the moving 1000 C molten glass (15-45 minutes depending on number of people and on how fast you will learn)

Step 4 - blow your own Murano glass artifact

you will have time to either make a drinking cup/ornament or a small custom glass vase
(time will depend on what you will decide to make and number of people)

The piece will have to anneal overnight so you can pick it up the next day. We can also ship your piece to you anywhere in the world but it is not included in the cost of the experience.

See you in Murano!!!!!!!
Other things to note
Its not gonna be easy! You must commit 100% and concentrate deeply. After you will be tired mentally and physically! The piece can be taken home after glass cooling cycle (2 days). we can ship too.

Hello,
My name is Roberto. I’m the youngest glass master in Murano and I opened my own shop in 2016. I love glass art and I love to share this love with as many people as I can! Thats why I developed a teaching method so that anyone can learn glassblowing easily! In Murano they will tell you that it takes 10, 20, or even 30 years to learn how to blow glass. But with my teaching process you will start blowing glass from day one and immediately take home some of your own custom made Murano glass artifacts!

Der Workshop ist einzigartig und danach weiß man die Arbeit der glasbläser deutlich besser zu schätzen. Wir hatten super viel Spaß und sind froh, dass wir uns die Zeit für diese Erfahrung genommen haben.

one of the best experiences I've had travelling! absolutely worth the money, although I hesitated before booking it. now I'm certain it was a great choice, as glass blowing was one of the coolest things I've done! everything was well explained and the staff was keeping an eye on us all the time, so it was all safe and we knew what we were doing. I highly recommend choosing this activity - it's better to buy experiences than things! plus you get to take home your own glass :)

Where to start... There are a few glass related experiences in Venice on AirBnB. But the others are on the island of Venice, not Murano. And more importantly, they're at most 90 minutes. Although I have not done them personally, having done this one, I can say you could not have nearly the same experience in such a short time. If you want to truly experience what Venice (and more correctly, Murano) is known for, you NEED to do this experience. You WILL create your own work, you WILL experience the heat of the furnace (1400+C), you WILL have an AMAZING time! Many thanks to Benjamin for his tutelage and patience helping me create my own "masterpiece" to take home -- a treasured keepsake and memory for the rest of my life.

Great class to take for first time glass blowers! Our friends and i tried glass blowing for the first time and had an amazing time. Our instructor Benjamin was very patient and very attentive to detail and we learned so much from him. It’s also cool to be able to make something and be able to take it home with us as a souvenir

A fantastic experience that we will remember forever, it was one of the highlights of our trip. As complete beginners Ben was extremely accommodating and provided just enough guidance so everything was safe and we produced drinking glasses that we are proud of! I wouldn't be at all nervous about going if you have no experience as everything is so well organised, can't wait for our pieces to arrive home by post as a reminder of a fantastic experience and trip!

Our unique experience at Roberto’s factory made for an unforgettable anniversary for me and my husband. Marco made us feel welcome and shared the workings of the factory. Then Ben took over and patiently taught us the basics of glassblowing. He then guided us through the process of making our own small bowl, glass or vase. I loved spending three hours on the production floor watching Roberto and his employees do their “dance” as they expertly work in concert to create their products.
