What you'll do

NOTES:
1. Please message me if your group would like another tour time/date
2. Follow our snowshoe adventures on insta/phacebuk = Niseko Snowshoe Tours
3. Please advise if you're driving to the meeting point as you CAN'T leave your car at Seico Mart. I'll have you park along the way or follow me/drive to the trail head. However, you might miss out on my restaurant recommendations during the van ride.
4. Sign up for my Niseko Natural Hot Springs/Onsen Tour on Airbnb Experiences

We'll meet & ensure everyone is prepared for the ~75 minute snowshoe trek (gloves, hats, sturdy boots preferred, last bathroom chance). We'll go to the trail head & don snowshoes. We'll get on the trail & enjoy a hot drink half way. We'll stop a few times to rest & take pictures. There are plenty of photo opportunities. We're usually gone slightly over 2 hours.

Example tour itinerary:
00:00 Meet in Hirafu & drive to trail head
00:10 Don snowshoes & safety brief
00:25 Start snowshoe trek
01:10 Enjoy hot drink
01:25 Start back to trail head
01:55 Take off snowshoes & possible sledding
02:00 Drive back to Hirafu

Hello, I'm Rob. I've been an AirBnB Superhost in Niseko for 5 years as well as a snowshoe guide for 10 years. I love introducing people to the fastest growing winter sport...snowshoeing. It's a great way to experience Niseko from another vantage point, the forest! We'll burn a few calories trekking through deep powder. We'll do some wildlife spotting for ducks, woodpeckers, rabbits, flying squirrels, raccoons, and fox (good chance we'll see their tracks). We'll see spectacular panoramic landscapes of snowy Japan on clearer days. Take a break from the busy ski slopes and explore areas where few tourists go. Please message me if your group would like to request another time/date. Follow our #snowshoeing adventures on insta @niseko_snowshoe_tours

Where you'll be

Niseko weather is unpredictable so please dress accordingly. We'll likely hike down to a frozen lake near the Mt Yotei volcano (90% of time) or another trail near a river but it depends on the weather, fitness levels, and ages of guests. The hike takes ~75 minutes on the trail but with transport, putting on snowshoes, and a safety briefing, we'll be gone ~2 hours total. Please watch out for tree branches, stumps, & falling snow from trees.

It was great to venture out away from the usual resort setting and go exploring into other, more remote areas with few other people. The experience felt serene and the setting magical. Rob also took some fantastic pictures to capture the moment for us.

This was the highlight of our trip to Niseko. We're a family of 9 whose age ranged from 20 to 64 years old and Rob was able to accommodate the entire group and adjust based on each one's speed capacity. You'll have ample time to take pictures and rest, plus as a bonus, Rob takes great photos of your group too! Rob is a fantastic guide and would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Niseko. Definitely a must!
