What you'll do

Let us introduce you to traditional Greek food in non tourists areas and hidden spots in Athens! The type of food and places you most probably would not find on your own!
Our tours on Monday to Saturday starting before 3pm will be centered around the market area. Tours starting after 3pm each day or on Sunday will be held in the area of Psiri.
During the market tour we will taste lamb with tasty lemon flavoured potatoes and Greek salad right inside the market. We will visit local streets and see fruit stalls and spice markets full of colour, scents and noise, will eat fruits and olives from the farm and souvlaki with gyros. We will drink Greek coffee made the traditional way(see it being made) in a 100 year old coffee shop. Visit a cheese and deli shop and dare to try something with a twist-its a surprise!
During the Psiri tour we will visit two hidden tavernas and eat traditional fresh food with ouzo or raki and barrel wine. We will walk through the Greek area for socialising, where we will sample something sweet at the end of our tour!
Large sized tastings and two full meals offered as you learn about Greek culture directly from the people who live it daily.
Vegetarian options available.
You will feel like you know many people in Athens at the end of this experience!
Social distancing will be maintained.Discounts for children offered, pls message for info

A great food tour of Athens and kids (aged 9 and 7) also really enjoyed it. Rachel is a fantastic guide and highly recommended.

This is the best thing you can do when getting to know the country! A food tour! Michalis was awesome, it was very clear that he knew exactly what he was talking about. It was a very personalized tour, and was accommodated to my dietary restrictions. It was fascinating to see how good of a relationship Michalis holds with all of downtown Athens! Every point throughout the tour, people stopped to chat with us, as they knew him. It was a must do experience, and I would recommend this to every single person, specially if you want to have a good base and understanding of the Greek culture, through its food :)

We loved our tour with Michalis! He was so knowledgeable and truly wanted to share his side of Athens with us. We got to try so many different things that we never would’ve known about otherwise. We did this on our first full day in Athens and then got so many recommendations on where to go for the rest of our trip. We would 10/10 recommend this tour for anyone interested in eating delicious food!

The food tour was one of the best experiences I had at Athens. In addition to getting try out some very original food (lamb cooked in volcanic sand in the middle of a meat market), I learnt a lot about the history and culture behind it all. I had to dash off before the session ended but Rachel ensured I got to experience all the main highlights. Strongly recommend to anyone visiting.

Really, really, really good day in great company with Mike(Michalis)! He showed me and my fiancee a lot of places in the heart of Athen, that we never have found on our own. All in all a perfect start of our holiday! Thanks a lot :)
