Equinox EcoHealing Retreat for Nurses "Holding Shadow and Light"

The intention of this 1-day EcoHealing retreat is to honor Nurses and offer a space where they can gather, in community, with other Nurses who understand what it means to "hold shadow and light" during one of the most unprecedented times in recent history.

Nature shows us everyday what it looks like to "hold shadow and light." During both the Spring (March) and Fall (September) Equinoxes, the day is made up of equal parts night and day—shadow and light. A tree falls; the wood decomposes, while at the same time, new life emerges from the rotting wood in the form of a mushroom—shadow and light. It is in these moments when nature shows us the interconnected relationship between grief and joy, death and rebirth, despair and hope—shadow and light.

Our group will gather in a serene space and begin forming our "sacred container" with an opening ceremony that has both a grounding and creative component. You will have solitary time in nature for reflection, Michele will guide the group through relaxing breathing exercises, mindful nature-connection activities, and a nature-themed guided visualization.

We will sit together in a sacred sharing circle, engage in a ceremony based on the Earth element (Fire, Water, Air Earth) that supports the intention of the retreat, and end our day with a closing ceremony.
