I have been kayaking and teaching people to kayak my entire life! I consider myself so lucky to live on this clear, clean, river and I love showing it to new friends! I competed in the 1996 Olympics in Kayaking and have been volunteering to help disabled folks to kayak ever since, because I would never have made it to the Olympics if it was not for going through the rehab process after a car accident at the World Championships. So, I like to help people to get out of the hospital to make the rehab process fun. . .

Our guide, Seth, was knowledgeable about the river and offered interesting facts regarding the flora and fauna. Seth was flexible and patient with our group and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring EVERYONE had a good time including my 5 year old niece and nephew. He was the perfect guide for our trip down the San Marcos River. I would highly recommend this excursion for all ages.

We really enjoyed our time with Ben on the San Marcos River; it was certainly fun and educational. Ben is a special person with a very interesting background. The passion he puts into the charity he runs, which is partially funded by proceeds from this experience, is an inspiration. Take this tour. You’ll learn something about a unique geological feature and get to meet an intriguing individual.
