What you'll do
Discover the B Side of CDMX in small groups to walk among friends. The perfect walking tour, to start your Mexico trip as an insider: a great balance of history, foodie and cultural experience.
Walking, eating and drinking, this is how my city is discovered. This is the kind of things I love to do on a free afternoon in my city, so it's only for travelers, not for tourists.
We will be visiting many spots with stops to rest, drink and eat something local and amazing. Your consumption bill runs on you, so you can decide how much to spend. But the first taco and some snacks goes on my own!
The walk starts in a historical and artistic complex, with a hidden photo museum (Closed MON & TUE) and the city’s best traditional Crafts Market: with enough time to learn about its history. From there we go to the legendary San Juan Market for gourmet, pre-Hispanic and exotic food, where you can eat from bugs, gourmet tapas or try exotic meats like crocodile, wild boar, iguana, zebra or lion, also great traditional Mexican food. Finish your meal tasting a scorpion is unforgettable! If you are a foodie, I can make a couple of extra stops to try other street tacos or great Mexican coffee.
OPTIONAL. Only if everyone in the group is 18+ age, will we do a quick stop at a traditional pulquería (SUN Closed) .
After that, walk to see amazing Street Art, walking through the neighborhood where Sor Juana consolidated herself as a writer, thinker and defender of the ideas of equality and women's rights, before close the experience at my favorite local Cantina.
IMPORTANT: Some places may be closed or with limited capacity due to current restrictions. For me the most important thing is your safety.
Other things to note
We walked about 4 kms (2.4 mi) with stops to eat and taste amazing things. If it rains it is not canceled but you can extend the experience.

Alexo was my guide and I had a great time. Traveling during pandemic is tricky enough, do yourself a favor and opt in for this experience. The tour, food, conversation, and company are well worth it. Not a "tourist trap" by any means. Real people, real places, real connection. Very grateful!

We liked very much the excursion with Jorge, he treated us as dear friends and showed us unique places that are hidden from tourists. He shared interesting stories about Mexico, culture, history, traditions, we had really great time tasting the authentic Mexican food and drinks, overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend

We had a great time with Jorge and got to see a part of Mexico City that we never would have found otherwise. Perfect for those who live art and food! The experience is super relaxed and personalized, and it felt more like walking with friends than a "tour". He even gave us great advice on where to go for an overnight trip and a few restaurants to eat at. Thank you so much, Jorge! We had the best time!
