What you'll do

• This is a foodie immersion in real, ordinary San Sebastian to get a real sense of community, understand how locals live and eat as you learn about local history and culture.
• With every tour you purchase, I help a person in need by donating a meal to a local soup kitchen that feeds people that live on the streets, you eat one you feed one!
• It's a three-hour walking, where there's mostly eating and less than 10 mins-walk between each stop.
• We’ll go to five specially selected stops within two different neighbourhoods.
• You'll indulge and learn all about the unique culinary tradition of going out for pintxos! Pintxos pronounced 'pin-choss', these are different from tapas and they're part of the DNA of Basque culture, I'm going to show you how to navigate the local food scene so you can feel confident doing it on your own and eat the best that this city has to offer.
• This experience is the kind of tour for people who hate the word 'tour' and genuinely travel for food and really want to get immersed in the culture and have fun.
• So many people travel here to eat let me show you why!

*If you prefer a private tour just let me know and I can arrange one for you!
Other things to note
Yes to pescetarians & vegetarians if you let me know in advance. Unfortunately unable to guarantee that cross-contamination may not occur for major food allergies.
*If you prefer a full vegetarian or vegan experience I suggest a private tour.
*Let me know if you need this to be wheelchair accesible

I founded Eat One Feed One a small company that offers food tours in San Sebastian which aim to create a positive social impact on the city through local NGO's and associations. I moved to San Sebastian almost 10 years ago because of my love of food, I studied culinary arts and I am OBSESSED with everything related to food! Eat One Feed One means for every client I get I DONATE a meal to the local soup kitchen that feeds homeless people. I believe our choices reflect who we are and that travel has the power to get rid of prejudice and FOOD is hands down, the best way to connect with others and really get to know this city’s culture. No visit to the Basque Country is complete without a pintxos tour!

Where you'll be

• We’ll meet BEHIND the¨Buen Pastor¨ Cathedral between the post office 'Correos' and a library called 'Koldo Mitxelenea' this is where our experience will start!
• You’ll enjoy a leisurely walk through the city center and experience a less visited side of San Sebastian, we’ll visit some of my favorite bars, and taste delicious food and traditional drinks!

The Eat One Feed One tour that Christina Isabel runs is - quite simply - incredible. She has knowledge of the local Basque culture, history of the city (and of Spain) which is interwoven in each location, along with background and details of every site visited. I will gladly do this tour again on my next visit. Don't be afraid to ask her to customize your tour, as she'll accommodate particular and specific tastes. This is a worry-free tour - when finished, you'll be more informed on San Sebastian in general, and the food & drink scene of the city.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience with Cristina! It ended up being a private tour and we appreciated all the attention to detail and the wealth of knowledge that Cristina brought to the table. A wonderful selection of pinxos (traditional to modern) and great drinks too! Cristina was very warm, accomodating and had many great stories - we left feeling very fortunate and well looked after. We would highly recommend this pinxos tour to anyone visiting San Sebastian :)

I can think of no one better to host than Christina. Her insight & passion are obvious. To have local knowledge is one thing, to match that with a complete love for what you do is a combination that can't be beat. I can't recommend this enough if you love food & have an interest in San Sebastian's culinary history & traditions. You will also find venues you may not visit. You will eat tasty foods you otherwise would miss out on. You will get the history & stories that have made this location the famed culinary hot spot it is today. An added bonus is that you will be donating to the assistance of those in need. Highly recommend. Thank you Christina for a great time.

Cannot recommend this pintxos tour highly enough! Cristina is incredibly warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. I learned so much in a short space of time but it always felt like a simple chat with a friend. We even bumped into some attendees from Cristina's tour the previous night who were delighted to see Cristina again and tell her where they'd been that day. On top of that the tours support a local soup kitchen which makes it even better.

We had a fantastic night with Cristina, she was a great host! We tried some really great food that we wouldn’t have been able to find ourselves. I’m a wheelchair user and Christina was able to create a tour that catered to my needs. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
