What you'll do

Channel Indiana Jones on this epic odyssey through the ancient wonders of Jordan.

Starting in the village of Dana, we’ll hike the desert landscapes, canyons and Bedouin villages of Wadi Feynan, Wadi Ghuweir, Ghbour Whedat, Beidha and Little Petra. Be ready to hike 8-10 miles per day.

Then it’s on to Petra, the stunningly preserved archaeological city that was named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Moving on to Wadi Rum, we’ll 4x4 through sand dunes, camp beneath the stars and lastly float in the Dead Sea.

    Dana Biosphere hike, wildlife spotting
    Journey from Amman to the country’s largest nature reserve for a 10 mile hike
  • Day 2
    High in the Sharah Mountains
    Tackle a trek up to the peaks overlooking the Wadi Araba Desert before camping in Furon.
  • Day 3
    Bedouin shepherd paths
    Follow nomadic trails 10.6 miles black mountains to the canyons of Ghbour Whedat.
  • Day 4
    Through the Nabatean ruins
    Descend past Bedouin villages to visit dwellings carved into sandstone at Little Petra.
  • Day 5
    The 7th new Wonder of the World
    Avoid the tourists by taking a back door trek into the elaborate cliff city of Petra.
  • Day 6
    Petra hike and 4x4 desert safari
    Trek to ancient ruins at sunrise, see Wadi Rum via jeep and sleep in a Bedouin camp.
  • Day 7
    Dead Sea to Amman
    Float in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, then travel back to Amman.

Where you'll be

We’ll meet in the capital of Amman and drive 2.5 hours to the hilltop village of Dana. After stops in the Sharah Mountains, Ghbour Whedat, Wadi Rum and Petra, we’ll finish our trip at the Dead Sea.
