What you'll do

I will guide you on a gorgeous circular route in Morwenstow taking us through some of the Southwest's most remote, wild and spectacular terrain which has a rich and fascinating history. This route packs in a lot of different elements and includes a section along some of Cornwall's highest and wildest clifftops, follows a secluded hidden valley, and passes through peaceful meadows and ancient churchyards. Along the way you we will take in the incredible views, stop at some amazing local spots and learn about the rich and wild history of an area best known for shipwrecks, smuggling and eccentric poets. We will pass through Morwenstow church and it's spectacular clifftop setting and stop at Hawker's hut, a tiny shelter set into the cliff face which was built out of shipwrecked wood in 1843. The route will take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours depending on walking pace but the route can be changed easily to meet your needs. We can vary the distance of the tour as well, ranging from 1.5 mile route to a 4 mile one. www.goodmorningcaptain.co.uk/walks for more photos and information

Where you'll be

The route is a combination of seldom used footpaths, the South West coast path and woodland trails. This section of the coast is wild, spectacular and extremely varied. Thankfully it's still way off the beaten track due to it's remoteness and inaccessibility. However this remoteness comes at a price, as unfortunately the meeting point is near impossible to reach without a car, so please don't book this hike unless you have your own transport.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 7 days before the experience is scheduled to start or within 24 hours of purchase.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside of the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 12 and up can attend. Guests should be prepared for the weather as we will be outside the whole time. Suncream, hat, sunglasses and plenty of water for hot days and a rain jacket if the weather doesn't look quite so nice. Good…

More tips

The route is for the most part easy walking but there are two short steeper sections. Guests should have a good level of fitness and be able to walk up and down steep steps and trails.
