What you'll do
We’ll spend the afternoon touring the dynamic and delicious craft chocolate and confection scene on Portland’s East Side. This 3.5 hour walking tour highlights four distinct stops that range in chocolate form, flavor, and fun. While walking, we will learn more about the unique Portland chocolate scene, the origins and impact of cacao on contemporary culture, and the differences between craft and industrial chocolate from your tour guide, an expert! Plus we will be exercising and burning off the chocolate we consume between stops. On this one-of-a-kind Southeast Portland tour, we will sample and taste chocolate in all forms and flavors from liquid to solid, from bean-to-bar craft chocolate bars to cacao in its rawest form (aka nibs)! We will also learn from the experts themselves, i.e. the makers behind the bars, confections, and distilled spirits. Yes, this tour does include a locally-distilled Portland spirit made with Pacific Northwest cacao! If you are looking for a specific date that is unavailable, please message host!
