What you'll do
First, I will meet you at | jemmaa elFna- the old médina|. We'll experience a walk to |the souk |to buy fresh ingredients, fresh herbs, and protein of your choice. Then will walk to my apartment in the modern and |fashionable Gueliz |neighborhood through the souk and shops and if you want to buy anything it is the right time to do it. Welcome to my home with hot mint tea and snacks - discussing Morocco, sharing impressions and asking questions. Then into the kitchen for cooking demos and participation. Take pictures and make videos of ourselves cooking authentic moroccan cuisine, learning about the spices, Arabic words for the foods and cooking, etc. Feel free to hang out in my balcony and chat with each other while our | food is cooking class experience| |, exchange travel stories, learn some more Arabic, and learn about my unique perspectives as an international tradition- loving modern family in Morocco. We'll gather around the table and | eat family style|, enjoying the meal we all prepared. At the end of our time we'll take group photos, exchange our contacts to keep in touch and put you in a taxi to your next destination. You'll be full. Happy. High on new knowledge & friendships. Your world just got bigger

Born and raised in Casablanca. I started cooking at the age of 14 with my mom and sisters - I left Morocco at 30, with my wife & spent 14 years as a fine dining sous chef in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the USA. We returned to Marrakech in October 2017 where I run my private chef home service and now as a co-host in a sustainable farm offering cooking classes. I LOVE food; flavors, textures, health benefits, culture. My bookshelves are bursting with international cookbooks.
