What you'll do

Hand me the reins and let me transport you in to a night rich with music, spoken word, laughter and stories - all within the book-lined walls Café Parliament on King. You'll get to meet with some of the most engaging, talented, emerging and established musicians, poets and performers that Sydney has to offer. I want you to experience it with me, through the eyes of its storytellers. The line up will be a changing, shifting, breathing thing - sometimes remaining secret until you open the door. And that's the point! It's my hope that you will have a truly special take home experience from this well-curated event. Sit back and enjoy! Friday November 22nd: Liam Gale & The Ponytails (Solo) Iain T. McKelvey Artists available on streaming platforms *Social enterprise catering provided by asylum seekers and refugees, in partnership with local Australians. Our mission is simple: to make lovely food. But in doing this we’re here to provide hope and opportunity to asylum seekers, refugees and recent arrivals to Australia.

Iain

I'm a local musician born and raised in Sydney, and have been involved in it's music and arts communities for some time. Completing a Bachelors of Music and Masters of Creative Writing, I've worked at Sony Music, photographed and reviewed major festivals like Falls Festival and helped run live venues. Working with a number of local artists - it's the intimate shows I remember. Not every concert has to take place in a stadium, it's important to foster creativity locally. Let me show you why.
