What you'll do

You leave Buenos Aires by fast ferry, (1 hour) to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. Our driver and guide meet us at the Colonia port at 9.30am and drive via some important historical landmarks on the way to ranch (20min) to meet the horses and gaucho. We ride for 2+ hours through farmlands to a secluded beach on well trained horses with us 2 very experienced guides (gallop options are possible for experienced riders), then back to the center for an all you can eat traditional Uruguayan bbq with grass fed beef, pork, chicken, farm vegetables, dessert, wine, beer or soft drink. Our historical guide meets us at the grill house after lunch to start the interesting 1 hour + walking tour of the World Heritage UNESCO historical village dating from 1680., with enough time to get the afternoon return ferry; the Colonia port is a 4 block (10 min) stroll away . Full service day ends at 3.30pm; you need to check in aprox 1 hr before ferry leaves back to Buenos Aires (10min from center), the trip is offered for a MINIMUM OF TWO RIDERS ( Solo travelers can message me with date options and I will try to make up a pair or join a group). After a full day the comfortable ferry is ideal for a short nap; Price includes full itinerary; Excludes ferry tickets. In case we have to cancel the horse ride section only due to torrential rain or thunderstorms, I will refund $50 in cash on the day.
