What you'll do

Alexander Hamilton - Revolutionary War hero, Washington's aide-de-camp, member of the Constitutional Convention, author of the Federalist Papers, first Secretary of the Treasury - the list goes on and on.
Hamilton spent a good deal of time here in Philadelphia (some even with his short lived mistress Maria Reynolds), and we explore his life and the places here. We will meet a cast of characters along the way, such as George Washington, John Adams, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, among others.
Come join me on this fun filled tour into the life and times of one of the truly remarkable Founding Fathers.
We will be listening to 16 songs from the musical, so come and sing along if you know the words. If you haven't seen the play, this we be an excellent introduction!

Great experience with the songs from the Hamilton soundtrack to tell the story, interspersed with context and expansion from Reid. My boyfriend has awful hearing and Reid ensured that he was able to hear the music and Reid’s talking. Absolutely would recommend for those familiar with the Hamilton play or looking to get familiar with the historical context behind it!

This was the perfect tour for my teen girls and I who love the Hamilton Broadway play. We only had one day in the area and this tour also gave us some history of the area while being fun and interesting. Reid went out of his way to accommodate us after a local college tour which meant a great deal to us due to our time constraints. It was especially fun to learn some of the fiction and facts that can be taken out of context in the Hamilton Musical itself. Don't miss this tour while visiting Philadelphia! Overall, a fun, worthwhile, way to experience Philadelphia, especially with teens or Hamilton fans.

Reid is not your average "architek"! He obviously loves music, knows the Hamilton material cold, makes history approachable and fun, and has deep local knowledge. I was particularly struck by the deep political and social intrigue of that time in Philly.....and we think today is hot! Though the most I've ever spent for a guide, it was worth every penny and more...

Wonderful tour with Reid! My daughters (12 &13) are big Hamilton fans and the Hamilton twist on the tour made the experience come alive for them. They loved knowing where the musical was right and wrong and paid attention to the whole tour (even the 12 year old who "doesn't like history.") We just had the opportunity to see the musical again and all four of us agreed we understood and appreciated it even more remembering what Reid had said about different scenes. Reid is a highly qualified and educated tour guide and it was very enjoyable to take a tour with him.

What a fun way to go on a walking tour! Reid packed alot of history into our 3 hours with him. The man is non stop! He also has a decent voice for singing along to the Hamilton tunes incorporated in his tour. Thanks Reid!

First of all, we had some obstacles with bad weather which caused us to adjust the schedule. Also we had some delays due to parking issues. However Reid was steadfast and adapted with us. Despite our challenges, he provided us with a great, educational experience.
