What you'll do

Alexander Hamilton - Revolutionary War hero, Washington's aide-de-camp, member of the Constitutional Convention, author of the Federalist Papers, first Secretary of the Treasury - the list goes on and on.
Hamilton spent a good deal of time here in Philadelphia (some even with his short lived mistress Maria Reynolds), and we explore his life and the places here. We will meet a cast of characters along the way, such as George Washington, John Adams, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, among others.
Come join me on this fun filled tour into the life and times of one of the truly remarkable Founding Fathers.
We will be listening to 8 edited songs from the musical, so come and sing along if you know the words. If you haven't seen the play, this we be an excellent introduction!
You know you want to be on the tour where it happens, the tour where it happens. Just sign up and, click BOOM!
Other things to note
Since this is walking tour, make sure to wear comfortable shoes. There will also be music from the play to accompany us during the walk!

Reid was a great host. I ended up the only on the tour so I basically got a private tour guide. I'm a history and theatre nerd so I loved it. He's knows his subject matter well. I haven't actually been able to see Hamilton yet, but hope to when the theaters reopen.

What a creative and fascinating way to explore American history in our nation’s former capital. This tour is a must for any fans of Hamilton the play or the historical figure. Reid does an excellent job of using songs from the play as a launch pad for providing context, details, and even setting the record straight, about Hamilton’s time in Philly. His knowledge of Hamilton, Philadelphia’s history, and not to mention his expertise in architecture, make him an awesome guide.

My husband and I took our two nephews (8 and 10) on this tour last weekend. This was one of the few pandemic-friendly activities that appealed to all four of us, and I do think everyone enjoyed some aspect of it. However, it's much longer than it needs to be. The boys were losing interest pretty early on (despite loving both history and Hamilton), and we noticed other adults on the tour looking at their phones, so I don't think it was their age or just our particular group. I think an abridged version with (90 minutes or so) would appeal to most people, and I assume true history buffs looking for a lot of detail probably wouldn't choose a tour with a Hamilton theme.
