I am a Registered Architect who has lived in the City of Philadelphia since 1978. After taking a walking tour with famed City Planner Ed Bacon, I was inspired to give similar experiences of the city.
Currently residing in the Old City area of Philadelphia, I would love to introduce you to the only World Heritage City in the U.S.

The tour guide is very knowledgeable and gave us interesting background information about the buildings we visited, their architect and style. Some buildings make me want to go back and explore on my own. Reid pointed out buildings i probably passed by without noticing it. That is the beauty of an expert guide, he showed us what was hidden in front of our eyes. Thanks Reid for the tour and the patience with my slow walking pace. Very considerate of you.

Reid was very accommodating to our group: he changed the time of the tour to meet our schedule, detoured for coffee and chocolate, and modified his route to match our speed. He's got a wealth of info about the buildings and the city's design, and we noticed things we never would have seen otherwise. None of us knows anything about architecture and it was only 40 degrees, but we still had a great time. Thanks, Reid!

I enjoyed the Center City architecture tour with Reid! I had lived in Philadelphia on and off for about five years, but I was able to discover many hidden gems even within the vicinity of a few blocks around the City Hall area on this tour. Reid was clearly very knowledgeable about the city and the history of architecture. The pace was just right as I was able to ask questions on things that I did not understand. My friend and I also made requests to see the inside of some of the buildings, and as long as it was possible, Reid always accommodated us. Having had some basic knowledge of architecture definitely helped, and I was surprised by the many different architectural styles co-existing in harmony. Reid also told interesting stories about some of these buildings, which made them come to life to us even more. The tour ended up to be roughly 2.5 hours and we went on a windy/drizzling day. Reid prepared water which was nice. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared with outdoor weather changes. I definitely recommend this tour to everyone, and even to locals because you will learn something new and hopefully grow more appreciation for this wonderful city as I did!
