What you'll do

—-AN OUTDOORS GUIDED NATURE WALK——
We meet in the early morning to see my Baja wildlife friends warm up for the new day. We will do a quiet educational walk in nature observing birds, reptiles, plants, insects and mammals as we make our way through deserts, oasis, coastal lagoons and finally see ocean views. My choices of hikes come from years of taking photos and exploring the area's diversity.

The difficulty and elevation changes can be adjusted to your needs and we will finish the hike before it gets too hot.

Baja is a peninsula that broke off from the mainland creating an extraordinary amount of thriving biodiversity and endemic species. Todos Santos hosts a large variety of flora and fauna because of the diverse amount of habitats found here.

*Starting time is adjustable if needed.

Birders welcome! We can start the walk earlier for birders.

Where you'll be

We will explore the Todos Santos cape lowland ecoregion: mountain foothills, coastal coves & alluvial plains, arroyos, dunes and oases. Each area has a different set of flora and fauna and the wildlife changes month to month, many species weeks to week. I get a magic feeling when exploring Baja habitats. Many species have been restricted to the peninsula and are unique to particular locations, including some endangered and vulnerable species.

My husband and I really enjoyed our nature walk with Bill. We visited both an estuary and a beach. Though we had actually visited that beach on a prior visit, we were much more in tune with Bill as our guide -- in exploration and discovery mode! Bill was knowledgeable and generous, and I would recommend his experience to anyone.

We had a wonderful time on our nature walk with Bill! We'd never be able to do something like this without an expert guide like Bill, and it helped open our eyes to all of the things we could see on regular walks throughout the area in Baja. Thanks so much Bill!

Bill has a vast amount of knowledge and a great passion for the area, which really shone through. His love of nature and willingness to share made the walk very special and unique. A very gentle, easy walk! Signed up to the app iNaturalist on his recommendation and am a citizen scientist convert.

We saw many birds, butterflies, some wales, lizards and walked through beautiful different habitats around todos Santos. Without the tour, we wouldn’t have been able to see everything we saw so I really recommend it to discover Bajas nature and get a deeper understanding of it. The organization was perfect and easy. A big plus: Bill will send us the photos he took during the tour. Thank you!
