Hi, this is Sam, born and bread in Florence, biker and adventurer for a lifetime and guide since 2013.
Because of my deep knowledge in Tuscan territory, Florence city and its backcountry, my 20 years biking and bike travelling expertise, I can manage extreme bike adventures, but I normally organize bike trips in Tuscany to discover the country, or daily rides in Florence and Chianti area.
I leaded thousands of guests in my bike tours, through the Chianti to visit farms and have super food/wine tastings, or in Florence city center to see the iconic spots and unveiling the hidden places, telling stories about the city.
I can guide you discovering Leonardo da Vinci birthplace, Medici's villas, the most ancient and beautiful castles, the National Parks, climbing the highest peaks on the Great Apennine Excursion route, camping into the wild.

Even though it was supposed to rain and I was the only one who had booked, Samuele still generously agreed to take me. I had a wonderful day, on a comfortable e-bike, that included nature and stunning views (we got lucky with no rain!), beautifully maintained castles, a very tasty lunch in an ancient wine cellar, and of course delicious wine!! What more could a girl ask for on her birthday? I highly recommend Samuele's tours. He is friendly, accommodating, passionate about biking, and clearly knows the region well and how to create an unforgettable experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip! Biking down the hills in wine country was breathtaking and freeing. Our host was very friendly and was able to educate us on a lot of facts about Italy and wine country. The highlight was a stop at a winery where the owner took us into his home and fed us a traditional Italian lunch. Getting to taste test his wines was amazing after seeing how they were made. We are not in the best shape, so the e-bikes were needed for us. We were only able to do the trip because of the bikes. I would not recommend this trip if you are not able to have some degree of endurance because there were portions where it was harder than others. I highly recommend this experience if you are able to give up 10 hours of one of your days here because you get to see beautiful country that you will not experience in the city. The only advice that I would give is to let the host know if you are a strong mountain biker. If you are not there is one portion where it is downhill with bigger rocks. We would have rather taken the tar road instead of that route.

Stuff happens, but with the right attitude, you can still have the time of your life. That's what occurred on my trip with Samuele and his partner Marco. The first winery was unexpectedly closed, but Samuele called a small winery nearby and arranged an impromptu visit for us. That ended up being the highlight of our trip. The man who ran that small winery invited us into his home and prepared a "snack" of meats, cheeses, fresh Tuscan bread, and fresh olive oil, all of which was of the utmost quality. The wine was, of course, phenomenal–he specialized in Chianti Classico and it was some of the best we had in the region. The bike riding wasn't too strenuous, although it should be stated that you should be comfortable riding bikes for somewhat longer distances. Even with the e-bikes, we broke a sweat and I wish I had worn better clothing for the excursion. The scenery on this trip cannot be beat, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. We loved cruising over the hillsides, down the narrow gravel pathways between vineyards, and up the long, winding roads that lead to breathtaking vista after breathtaking vista. Even though there were several surprises on the trip (I popped a tire, but Sam patched it lickety split), our guides provided us with a once-in-a-lifetime trip that my wife and I will recommend to anyone who will listen.
