We will meet in the old center of Puerto Vallarta and take urban transport direction south of the city.

After a 15 min drive we will get of at a bus stop and start walking in the tropical forest. You will get to know lots of different plants, animals and learn about the river. We will follow a rough path that changes depending the amount of rain that has fallen and that crosses the river multiple times. Feet can get wet!

After one hour of hiking and some impressive views up in the mountains we reach the first waterfall.
Here we can take pictures, rest a bit and have water and fruit.
Between the rocks we have a refreshing swim between the fishes in the small lake.

For the ones that are still not satisfied we take another path up until a next set of waterfalls.

Amazing experience! The meeting and bus ride were easy, and the hike met expectation. Of course, many other tourists were on the trail. Our guide showed us many different plants and some history/knowledge of the area.

That hike was a boatload of fun! Really personable group and Eduardo was a great host/guide. The hike itself can be challenging in spots so you should be sure-footed and in shape. But totally worth it.

Eduardo was our guide and he was exceptional! He made our family feel comfortable as well as the other guests whom by the end of the hike I would call friends. He offered assistance along the way if necessary and was personable, easy going and courteous! The hike was strenuous for some but ultimately the challenge made it fun for all! The swimming hole and waterfall were a lot of fun!! We jumped off the cliff (the lower jump) and had fun swimming. The water was chilly but felt good after the hike. We hiked as a family of 4; age 10-52…doable for all! Eat a hearty breakfast because you don’t get lunch. Snack is provided. #eduardorocks

I had an awesome time on this hike. Best part was definitely jumping off a ledge into the pool by waterfall. Hike can be steep and treacherous, but everybody in our group did a great job, had fun and supported each other - from kids to guests in their 60s. Eduardo the guide was awesome - always encouraging, professional and making you feel in good hands. I left with good friends and good memories - exactly what you want in a hike like this!

This was a fantastic day experience to hike through the mountains, see and swim at a beautiful waterfall, and enjoy some really great storytelling about the biology and history of the area. For the price this is 100% a day trip I’d recommend!

You meet at a bus stop and go with a small group around 8 people. The hike starts at the bottom of a river and you walk along rocks which is tedious but not too hard. The waterfall is gorgeous and there’s different jumps you can do. The next part you hike up the mountain to a lookout over the bay. This part was steep but there’s ropes to help you. A little difficult but worth it!
