What you'll do

Highly recomended for 1st timers in Florence on 1st day in town. In 3 hours you'll see around the most of the city, enabling you to decide what to do in the next days with knowledge. Super recommended for gelato addicted.
Don't miss the opportunity to discover the hidden Florence with a native guide.
Visiting Florence by bike is smarter, faster and easier than walking.
The city is flat excepting for Piazzale Michelangelo's hill so it will be an easy ride, affordable by all, 2 (using child seats or bike trailer) to 80 y.o. (using e-bikes)
We will see from outside all the most important spots and monuments, including Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza Signoria, il Duomo, Piazza Santa Croce, il Porcellino, and others.
This will not be a classic city sight-seen tour, most of all I'll give you some tips about how to live Florence like a local, what to do in the city, what to eat and where, talk about history, traditions and typical Tuscan stuff.
In the 2nd part of the ride we'll climb the Piazzale Michelangelo hill on the lightest side, to enjoy the best view of the city.
Finally we'll end with a gelato at the best the best gelato place in town. I'll be happy to answer any question about the city, as I'm born and bread in Florence, and lived here all my life.
The course will be mostly in pedestrian area and on bike paths.
I will provide bikes, helmets, water and lights for night rides.
Other things to note
The ride is easy and affordable from 2 to 80 yo.
Children <3yo free, <10yo 50% off.
Extras: ebike 15€, child-seat 5€, trailer 5€

Hi, this is Sam, born and bread in Florence, biker and adventurer for a lifetime and guide since 2013.
Because of my deep knowledge in Tuscan territory, Florence city and its backcountry, my 20 years biking and bike travelling expertise, I can manage extreme bike adventures, but I normally organize bike trips in Tuscany to discover the country, or daily rides in Florence and Chianti area.
I leaded thousands of guests in my bike tours, through the Chianti to visit farms and have super food/wine tastings, or in Florence city center to see the iconic spots and unveiling the hidden places, telling stories about the city.
I can guide you discovering Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace, Medici's villas, the most ancient and beautiful castles, the National Parks, climbing the highest peaks on the Great Apennine Excursion route, camping into the wild.

Where you'll be

In 2 or 3 hours you can see around the whole city centre including the hidden spots that only Florence people knows, saving so much time compared to a walking tour.
We'll dodge the crowdy places, skipping by side narrow streets, from an amazing place to another one, without getting lost or loosing time with maps directions.
After the ride you'll be able to decide with knowledge what to do in the city.
At the end we'll have the best gelato in town

Veel dingen gezien waar je normaal voorbij zou lopen. Mooi uitzicht kunnen zien.

Florence is a very friendly guide. The route was pre-planned but we still had an option to adjust it to our interests. He knows a lot about the city and the country in general, so it was a very interesting talk in addition to the tour. Furthermore, he can give you a couple of ideas for exploring the city. Also, the gelato place is a must! Florence was also very attentive (e.g. offered water, was ready to adjust the speed/route if needed). It was overall a great way to experience the city!

Sam is awesome! Doing this bike tour (after not riding a bike in a long time) post COVID was a blessing since there were fewer people on the streets. It was a very unique way to experience the city. Definitely recommend!

AMAZING TOUR - CANNOT MISS!! Diana is extremely knowledgable about the city and its history. She was accommodating to our time schedule, willing to stop and take photos of us and wait up for us if we got tired. Not a hard ride at all, the hill at the end is not steep at all and. the bikes are in great condition. Perfect length for a bike tour, the gelato was amazing (raspberry chocolate is far superior) and you get to see the most iconic locations around Florence and learn a little history too. 11/10 would recommend.

Samuele was a great host and guide and is very passionate about the art and history of Florence, i loved the stories he told and learnt about things I could never have found out on my own. The route was easy to follow and very scenic. The gelato was amazing as well, definitely the best I tasted in Florence!
