Hike a forested river to the most picturesque sanctuary then taste at three friendly and spirited wineries.

Out of the woods visit small-production wineries that are sociable, enjoyable and unforgettable.

River & Wine sounds simple but it's not. It's as complex as a cabernet - and just as intoxicating.

- Budget $10 total for tasting fees (waived with purchase of a bottle)

- Affordable lunch savored in the rustic ambiance of Grand Oak Culinary Market

- Four-season experience but full refund for intolerable weather

- Must be in moderate health

- Sense of humor and adventure required

- Feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy stream-side

- Larger groups inquire within

Fortunate to work In Yosemite National Park and Oregon I've guided groups to some of the most transcendent trees, peaks, rivers, hot springs and waterfalls.

On the wine side I have strong bonds with these wineries which adds joy to your experience (and wine to your glass).

Eternally Canadian I’m forever on the hunt for little known nature spots and light-hearted wineries and savor deeply the respite taken from these tonics.

Ken was a fantastic host. We had too many laughs to count. The hike was truely amazing and beyond expectations. An awe inspiring trek into a beautiful secluded spot in Niagara people don't often get to go. The wineries selected offered a personal experience that made you feel like a VIP. Like the trek the wineries offered a look into the local industry from a less commercial and more experiencial perspective. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

There are not enough words in the English language to express how much fun my boyfriend and I had with Ken! The hike was absolutely beautiful and the perfect level of difficulty. It was more rigorous than walking around a park, but I didn't feel like I was trekking the rain forest or something. It really was a nice little adventure in nature. Every winery he picked was beyond amazing. The staff were passionate and welcoming and really made us feel comfortable. No pushy sales people! Throughout the entire experience, Ken was able to keep the conversation going. Never a dull moment, full of laughs, and amazing memories. I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Thank you Ken!!!!!!!

This was my second time on this hike and tour with Ken. He made me feel valued as a repeat customer, and switched up the path of the hike and some of the wineries from the last time I went. Ken is great at encouraging people through his hike, and keeps an excellent balance of stories and conversation mixed with silence to take in the beauty around us. He definitely took us to places we wouldn’t know how to get on our own. Sharing a bottle of my family wine from behind a waterfall is definitely an experience I won’t forget. If you’re on the fence about going on this adventure, take the leap! Take two leaps, in fact!

Amazing value and personalization with this trip. Our normal Saturday became rigorous with off the beaten path hikes and mom-pop vineyards! Definitely recommended
