What you'll do

I will pick you up at 7:30am from your accommodation. We will travel 2hs to the south heading towards the Andes, up to where our experience takes place: Rosendo Pachecho's family ranch. This is in San Carlos, Valle de Uco region. You will learn how to saddle a horse and ride through the mountains for 1,30hs, witnessing a remote, natural and wild landscape. We'll have time to stop for coffee and enjoy multiple views, take pictures and ask Rosendo any questions. If we are lucky to meet some cattle in the way you'll even get the chance to herd them down. Once we arrive in Los Toldos ranch I will prepared a typical argentinian barbecue, an asado, with wine (veggie option if requested). Around 4pm we will start the 1,30hs ride back to meet the vehicle and return to the city.

Gustavo

Hi! I'm Gustavo and I have been working in the mountains for the last 20 years. My activities distinguish for guiding tourists off the beaten path in Mendoza, engaging with locals and their traditional activities in rural areas. Rosendo, our host and owner of the land, belongs to the 5th generation living in this area, keeping all its traditions alive. From creole descendants, his family was one of first ones to settle in the area at the foothill of the Andes. Where you'll be

Wild, natural and remote land; off-grid and off the beaten path. Located at the foot of the Frontal Mountain Range of the Andes is Los Toldos ranch, an old rural house used during the summers by Pacheco's family to bring their animals to graze in the mountains. From creole descendants, this was one of first families to settle in this area. Rosendo, our host, belongs to the 5th generation living in this place, keeping all its traditions alive.
