Hello! I am Shannon Joy and I have been working alongside my mother, Lori, raising llamas since 2002. In 2006 my mother had a calling to begin sharing our original llama, Rojo, as a therapy animal and in 2007 that dream became a reality when we got him certified through a local Portland, OR animal hospital. Since getting Rojo certified, we have added four other full-time therapy llamas and alpacas to our herd, several more in training, and have gone on thousands of therapy visits into adult care communities, special-needs schools, and hospitals. When covid hit, we have found virtual farm tours to be an excellent way to introduce so many to our whole herd. Since the pandemic began, I have hosted over 150 virtual tours introducing folks to our herd from all over the world!
