I had the BEST time at this pottery class even though my clay and I were absolutely fighting for dominance.
The instructor explained how to center the clay so clearly and thoroughly. Her demo? Stunning. Effortless. Art. Me attempting it? Humbling. Deeply humbling. Most of the class somehow nailed it on the first try while I was over there negotiating with my spinning blob like, “please… cooperate.” 😂
Thankfully, she is an angel. She checked in on everyone constantly, gave super helpful pointers, physically helped re-center pieces (bless), and made sure no one felt behind. She created such a supportive, low-pressure environment that even when your clay is wobbling like it has a personality disorder, you’re still having fun.
10/10 recommend. Even if you can’t center clay on the first try (or the second… or the third). You will leave with a new skill, a great memory, and a newfound respect for pottery.
