What you'll do
This experience is weather proof. Join a two-hour adventure to explore Chinatown and experience its culture through senses and stories. The activities are in three parts: Culture, Immigration, and Integration. (1) Culture: We open our senses to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste Chinese culture. (2) Immigration: We travel back in time to hear stories of Chinese immigrants and make some group decisions. (3) Integration: We look at the cultures that have been integrated into this part of London’s Soho – past, and present. During this experience, you will taste some delicious Chinese street food. The choice varies depending on the season. At the end of the experience, you get a food map of Chinatown. The experience is designed for individuals, couples, families or groups. For families, kids can take on a special mission: 'Dragon Hunt in Chinatown'.
Born in Shanghai, I've lived in Hong Kong, Norway, the US (briefly) and now London. I create fun and engaging cultural experiences in London. I'm grateful to the help from communities in Chinatown and Soho, people in the British Library, the Cambridge University and the Royal College of Arts.
