About your host

Trees and forests have always been my passion, in my childhood in Argentina, during my life in Canada and now in my new life in Bavaria. I studied forest bathing techniques in Germany, England and Japan. I developed Forest Therapy methods influenced by my mentor Dr. Yoshifumi Miyazaki. What we’ll do

Fall and Winter Program Forest Bathing, known in Japan as "Shinrin-Yoku" refers to the practice of mindfully immersing oneself in the forest to enhance wellness and to encourage stress reduction. We will provide transportation from Munich’s main train station to a vast forested area 40 km into the heart of Bavaria. What else you should know

After the Shinrin Yoku tour, while enjoying an indoor fire and hot beverages back at our country home, we will provide a surprise giveaway with scents of the forest and show some photos from Japan.

What I’ll provide

Wraps & soup will be provided before the forest walk at our country house. We accommodate vegetarian and gluten free diets.
Water, tea and coffee
Hot tea & water available for the walk and water, tea or coffee will be provided with lunch.
Transportation included
We will meet our guests in downtown Munich, take them to our experience site and return them to the original location.
Rain Ponchos & poles
We have rain ponchos for unexpected wet weather conditions. Walking poles and a first aid kit for the forest walk.
Granola and fruit bars
Snacks, such as granola and fruit bars will be provided for the forest therapy walk.

Weatherproof hiking boots
Appropriate outdoor clothing for the season (Layers recommended for winter)
Day pack or small bag
Small heat proof bottle (Thermos)
Warm hat, scarf and gloves
Rain gear if the weather forecast anticipates it
Change of pants and socks in rainy weather
