What you'll do

Whether you’re new to baking and need an introduction, or are already baking your own bread at home and have specific questions, this class will give you a comprehensive overlook at home bread baking. We’ll cover the whole baking process, from using your natural starters, to a tried and true cast-iron skillet baking method, with a focus on the community aspect of bread making. You’ll go home with the dough we mix in class (which you will be able to bake at home!), your own sourdough starter for future projects, and a network of bakers to connect with. Join us for a Tabor Breaducation experience and let’s become better bakers together! You'll need a cast iron dutch oven/combo cooker to cook off your loaf at home (post-class). *Travelers who don't have the equipment to bake at their accommodations may leave bread at Tabor Bread overnight to be baked in the morning by the team and pick up the baked loaf the following day.

Nicole And John

At Tabor Bread, we believe that good food is key to a healthy community. Our diverse local, organic and transitional grains are milled in-house to maintain their essence. Our long fermentation process harnesses the power of wild yeasts to create nuanced flavors, toothsome textures and best of all, a bread that’s easier to digest. Baked in a wood-fired oven, we strive to capture the Northwest spirit in each loaf.
