What you'll do

We will walk around the farm for about 2 hours. This is a hill farm so involves a bit of hill walking. We will see our sheep and feed them if winter time (they live solely on grass in the summer time), You will most likely see our Chickens if they are not busy doing other chicken stuff. You will also see some wonderful scenery on the walk. We will visit the Peat Bog where we used to cut turf for the fire. We have a number of Archaeological sites on the farm which we also visit. We will see our Fairy Fort and our Standing stone. If you like this experience but the scheduled time and date does not suit, please message me and we might be able to schedule a time that does.

We have been farming this Sheepfarm for generations. This is a historic farm still laid out as it was 150 years ago. I was raised listening to our older family members discussing their way of life and farming methods of long ago. The trips to the bog to cut turf for the fire. The trips to the sea side to collect sea weed and sand for land improvement. This was a fascinating way of life that is now mostly gone. Join us for a walk around the farm and discussion of these times.

Awesome experience! An off the beaten path experience with our host, Liam. He was very understanding and informational with my parents' endless questions and left us with a sense that we were on a National Geographic documentary/excursion. Not for those who are afraid to get their shoes dirty, we felt we had earned our dinner by the end :) Thank you for the memory we'll never forget!

We had an incredible two hour stroll where we met with Lulu and Milly. Learned a lot about Ireland whilst enjoying the incredible nature.

What an amazing and magical experience this was. My kids absolutely loved walking the farm and bonding with the sheep. Brigid and Vincent were amazing tour guides. We will remember this family experience forever. Absolutely important to remember to wear waterproof clothes. It drizzed and rained the entire time, but since we had raincoats and rainboots, it did not effect our experience.

This was such a wonderful experience! We lucked out and had a wonderful sunny day in November. We got to feed the sheep and go on a beautiful hike up the hills and through the peat. Definitely wear waterproof shoes! I wore boots and was just fine. Our host had wonderful knowledge of the area and answered all the questions we had about the farm.

Liam was great to accomodate our last minute request to show us around the property and tell us about the sheep farm. Lulu the dog was fun and a happy pup. Her and the sheep have an understanding, they leave when she gets close so pictures can be hard to get but Liam was very accommodating. We had a great time on the walk, its wetter at the top of the hill than the bottom so keep that in mind when choosing footwear. Its beautiful out there and we enjoyed doing something different than the normal and taking photos of the sheep.

Such a great experience! We hiked up mountains with a dog chasing sheep along the way. It drizzled for most of the hike with rain clouds gliding over the hills which was beautiful, but be sure to bring waterproof clothes. We had rain jackets but our jeans got drenched.
