What you'll do

YES my trips ARE available in October, SEND A MESSAGE!!!!
PRICE: $25 + $30 = US $55.
In this magical "Early bird Cenote Experience from Cancun" (Staying in Playa del Carmen? It's OK, ask me!) you will get to visit 2 very different types of cenotes WITHOUT THE TOURIST CROWDS! **Perfect for groups, families with kids, couples and solo travelers.** PLUS...we are back at 11am, this means you will still have a FULL day to enjoy the beach or anything else after my trip!!!

See a beautifully located, fun and adventurous pond-like cenote that is lost in the middle of the jungle about one hour away and then a mystical cave-like cenote with unbelievably crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling the depths of the earth. This trip is a "have fun in the water trip". However swimming is NOT required at all. Swim, snorkel, float, paddle, do "leaps of faith" (high jumps and jumping into holes in the earth) and do water zip-lines if you wish or just stay dry and relax on the edge taking pictures. We are allowed 30 min in each cenote, please be respectful of these time limits.

Also VERY important, THIS Airbnb experience is 100% hosted by a local Mexican host (me!). I'm NOT a big established and fancy tour company with employees. I am very passionate about my country, my city and all water activities. Support the local and independent -not company owned- Airbnb Experiences, just like this!

I'm a PADI Master Scuba Dive Instructor, as well as an Emergency First Responder Instructor, a lifeguard and a swim teacher and a tour guide in my city. I've been scuba diving (and snorkeling) for over 18 years, all over the world and I have close to a decade teaching scuba. I know very well, most all of the "Cenotes" around the area and I will take you to fantastic cenotes where I know you will love it!
In my free time I'm a husband and a new father.

Where you'll be

PRIVATE TRIPS AVAILABLE AT CHECK-OUT!
We will go to 2 unique cenotes, about 50 km from Cancun, deep in the
Mayan jungle and hear as it is waking up.

I have personally hand-picked these because they are very representative of what cenotes are. There are over 2,500 cenotes in this region, most all of them are very similar. This is a great alternative of avoiding the famous and crowded cenotes (tourist trap)! And truly "AVOIDING THE CROWDS"!

Excellent trip! Easy and convenient pick up/getting to the cenotes. Santiago was lots of fun and had great information on all the cenotes. His contacts with local communities helped us gain access to these amazing spaces and understand what we were seeing. I highly recommend this trip!

This was an amazing experience. The cenotes that we went to could not have been more perfect in my opinion. Santiago is very well-informed and very communicative. We were leery about going so early but we went before anybody else which was very special. We were told that some of these places let in up 250 people at a time so it was brilliant to have the cenotes to ourselves. Highly recommend this experience.

Santiago and this excursion was amazing from start to finish. You really learn a lot about the cenotes. Always felt safe and could really enjoyed the experiences of being in and around the cenotes. Everything went smooth and had tons of fun! Would definitely go again when I’m back in Cancun and will recommend this to all my friends and family!

We booked this trip after seeing the many positive reviews and I am so glad we did. It goes way above and beyond what is offered by the large tour companies and was a completely unique, once in a lifetime experience. Santiago is a friendly, professional and knowledgeable guide to these incredible environments. Everything was fantastic from start to finish and I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

This if my SECOND time doing this with Santiago and it is worth doing again and again. By luck, we shared the cenotes with *only* one other very pleasant couple (also with Santiago) using diving boards, ziplines, snorkeling, and exploring stalagtites in a quiet setting. Because of his unique history in the region, Santiago has this private access to the cenotes before the crowds arrive; after our group, more than 100 people will share those cenotes at the same time. Because of Santiago, we are able to visit these pools, sacred to the Mayans, in a quiet and intimate setting.
