This is a one of a kind small canal boat tour. Reinhard is an exceptional tour guide and really knows his history about The Netherlands and Amsterdam and was able to make it relatable to where we are from NYC. The boat is absolutely gorgeous and the snacks and beverages were an awesome perk!

Enjoyed the canal tour very much. Reinhard was laid back and easy to talk to, on time, and even dropped us off at our hotel.

Beautiful experience on a historic canal cruise. Reinhard welcomed, entertained, and educated my husband and I on a private cruise. We had tons of options for drinks and also had lovely snacks. The boat is strikingly handsome, many people took photos as we toured by. Reinhard had answers to all of our questions and was overall a great person to spend time with. Would definitely go again!

We had a wonderful time. We had 4 in our party and had the boat and guide to ourselves. The boat was gorgeous and the captain friendly and knowledgeable. The snacks and drinks yummy and perfect. He was able to alter the tour to go to places we wanted to see in the canals. He was even able to drop us off at the train station so we could get to our next adventure. It was truly a highlight of our Amsterdam trip! I would recommend this trip without hesitation!

Thanks to Reinhard, we experienced a beautiful ride around the historical Amsterdam center. Though he was unavailable, Reinhard paired us with a wonderful skipper in his place: Brian. The boat was built in 1902 and constructed of gorgeous polished wood—and it was shaded from the hot afternoon sun! Tasty treats were provided (Danish cheese! Strawberries! Oh la la!) and we felt privileged to be let in on city secrets thanks to our local captain. We even passed by his painstakingly restored houseboat. This tour was perfect for our first afternoon in the city to become acquainted with the stunning and distinctive canal system. It felt person, majestic, and was undoubtedly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Reinhard brought the smaller of his boats for our 2-hour private trip around the waterways and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. The boat was old but looked anything but that - it's very stylish and well maintained. People were taking photos of us as we went past as the boat does look a lot different to the standard tourist boat. There were strawberries, chocolate, tomatoes and cheese to eat and any number of drink choices. Reinhard told us any number of things about the buildings, boats, waterways, bridges and even made the brick walls interesting. He also covered a lot of Dutch history, economics, geography, commerce, etc and, being British, we inevitably discussed Brexit! A private trip is obviously more expensive than the bigger tour boats but it was great value for money and we'd happily go back and spend another couple of hours floating around the city.
