What you'll do

Yoga's beneficial effects to physical health & spiritual well-being are enhanced by practicing on the water. The extra challenge to balance engages core & stabilizing muscles & improves mindfulness & focus.

I welcome all levels of students to a safe, calming, accepting space. I cue options to modify or advance poses for new students & experienced yogis alike. I instruct with detailed alignment cues to foster clarity, balance, & wholeness in body & mind during this 1-hour class.

No yoga or stand up paddle board experience needed.

The entire class can be taken with variations of sitting or kneeling - standing up is completely optional.

**Payment can be collected at location - discounted rate of $25 per person** Call for a reservation: (318) 527-0066, ext. 2

Water is waist-deep, moderate temperature, and calm.

Class is outside & physically distant, per COVID-guidelines.

Class size limited to 8 people.

For adventurer safety, class may be canceled for adverse weather.

Class can be taught on a paddle board on land under a covered pavilion, in the event of inclement weather. This provides many of the same benefits as practicing on the water.

- There is plenty to do in the area if part of your group doesn't yoga. Or, they can relax on a bench & watch!

Long before I became a healthcare professional, my career goal was to help others experience improved health & quality of life. I discovered an ages-old healing & embodiment practice called yoga in 2005. The ability it had to center me in a moment, into mindfulness & buffered from the stressors of life, was inspiring & showed me I could relish in just Being. I would love to help others attain the same awareness, peace, & joy that I experience through my own yoga practice.
