What you'll do
After picking you up at your downtown Toronto accommodation, or other convenient pre-arranged spot, we will start your adventure by heading west towards Niagara Falls and stopping at several picturesque waterfalls along the way.
During short, mild hikes along treed pathways, you’ll learn about the geology of the area followed by delectable treats from a local bakery (extra cost). Then, we’ll hop in the car and continue to Niagara's wine region, where we will stop for a tasting (including ICE wine) at one of Niagara's most award winning wineries where we will enjoy our tasting in the winemakers own home.
After dining on delicious Greek food for lunch, we’ll go to the world-famous Niagara Falls where you will be bathed in the mist from the Falls as you walk along the edge of the Niagara Gorge. We will have more than enough time for guests to take the optional, self led, Hornblower Boat Cruise to the base of the falls. Following our visit to the rim of the mighty Horseshoe Falls we will return direct to Toronto.
WINTER UPDATE
For bookings December thru early May, the Hornblower Boat Cruise is not available at Niagara Falls. The river freezes and the boats come out of the water. Guests may choose to do the Journey Behind the Falls activity while there.
The local bakery is closed for the season between Christmas and Easter. We stop at a local coffee shop instead.
Your host
Alan
I have lived in the Toronto area for over 30 years, and there’s nothing I love more than exploring the hills, trails, and waterfalls near the city. I am a full-time Airbnb Experience host. I am licensed by Niagara Parks, a Paddle Canada kayak instructor, First Aid certified, and a lifelong outdoors enthusiast. I love showing people things off the usual tourist routes. My friend and colleague Pepe, who speaks English and Spanish, will also help guide this experience as needed.
