About your host

A certified beer server and beer enthusiast, a trained storyteller and history buff. Raised in the country side and worked in the tourism industry for many years. But a local to the city centre today. I can tell you all about the local craft scene, nightlife tips as well as anything you want to know about everything from the settlement to the financial crisis.

What we’ll do

We´ll start at one of the cities oldest craft bars (which is actually very young) where I will put together a beer flight consisting of 6 Icelandic craft beers. We´ll talk about the different styles and go through the history of beer in Iceland. Afterwards we will walk over to the next craft bar that specialises in local crafts, have 5 more local samples and go a bit deeper into the local craft…

What else you should know

A good way to start the night. I encourage you to come on a not so empty stomach since I am providing only a small snack and the some heavy beers (albeit just samples, they are on the stronger side).

What I’ll provide

Snacks
Traditional dried fish The beer is NOT included in the price. You can skip the beer or share the flights if you are a light drinker.

What to bring

Good spirits and a thirst for knowledge. And a valid ID
