My dad and I had so much fun at the Castello Tricerchi! The wine tour was very interesting, the wine itself was delicious, and we had a blast cooking with Alexandra. I can't wait to show my friends the tricks that she taught me at home. Would highly recommend this experience if you're staying in Montalcino or nearby! Grazie mille!

The property is beautiful. Old world feel, amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. We started with a small tour and heard about the history of the property and winery. Then we did a wine tasting of 3 different wines from the winery. Everyone was asked if they wanted to purchase any wines and they arranged international shipping. We seemed to start the cooking portion a bit late so it felt a little rushed at times. On the menu was a pasta with meat sauce, a ragu and tiramisu. There were 7 in our group, all American. Each person contributed one step to the cooking process. One person stirred, the next added herbs, etc etc. Then we each made our own pasta and mixed together the individual tiramisu bowls. Not much in the way of cooking tips or instructions (a little bit though), but I wasn't there to learn to cook so much as to enjoy a home cooked meal in a beautiful place, and it was great for that. If you're looking to learn every step of preparing certain dishes you may want a different class. After we prepared our pasta we sat outside at a table overlooking the vineyards as our instructor finished up the meal and brought each course out to us. We sipped a sparkling wine during the class and we also got a little bit more of the red wines (Brunellos) with the meal, just a small tasting. It was nice to do something a little different and the proprietor and instructor were great and laid back. Would still like to receive the recipe as promised in the class :) Thank you!

This experience was great. I love food, my husband always does the cooking, so I thought this was gonna be more fun for him than it would be to me. But I actually really enjoyed making pasta! We had a fun group and Alexandra was great and super funny. Perfect to break the ice and make everyone enjoy this experience. And the dinner with that view… wow.
